First Date with Phung

I'm not sure what really counts as our first date. The first time we were actually supposed to meet I ended up getting lost and couldn't find her house. We had made plans so that I would pick her up at her cousin's house and then we would go have coffee at Starbucks. Well I learned the hard way that you shouldn't rely on MapQuest for directions to your first date. :) I made it to the general neighborhood where she lived but I drove around for a while and never could find her house. I didn't have a cell phone with me either and I forgot to bring her phone number along, so I was pretty frustrated when I had to drive all the way home and never got to see her.

I felt so bad that I couldn't find her house but we did talk for a little bit when I got home. Actually I was surprised that she still wanted to talk to me. I thought that she would not want to again after I missed our first date. :) Lucky for me she is a very caring and understanding person. Her only thought was that I drove all that way for nothing and she felt bad because of that. She made me feel so much better.

After a while we arranged to meet again but this time we decided to meet at Starbucks instead of me trying to find her house. lol :) Starbucks was a little easier to find and I made it to meet her ok. She arrived at the coffe shop before me at was waiting at a table when I arrived. On the drive to Starbucks I had thought of many things to talk to her about but I forgot them all when I saw her. :) She was so beautiful and I could not think of anything after seeing her.

We ordered some drinks and sat down to talk for a while. I had actually never been to Starbucks before and I really don't like coffee so I just picked something from the menu to try. I got a shaken iced tea which was surprisingly good. I guess I can't laugh at people who go to Starbucks anymore. :) If I remember right she had a cappuccino.

Anyway we sat and talked for quite a while. Luckily she did most of the talking because I couldn't stop thinking about how beautiful she was. I enjoyed talking with her and hearing about her culture. She was very funny and had many intelligent things to say. I was so impressed by her. I think I spent most of the drive back home thinking about the different things she said.

It was a great first date and I think of it often and smile! :)
